The Northwoods is an interesting and special community. It is full of faithful people eager to work toward making this place a better one for work, worship, and play. We enjoy the out-of-doors and the creatures of the woods and thank God for this marvelous creation. We endeavor to discover how we fit in and can contribute to the beauty and awesome wonder all around. As a congregation, we are involved in our local food pantry, Community Table, and ministerial activities. We participate with other congregations so hand in hand we can bring faith to the forefront and make our identity as God’s children known. Calvary offers an opportunity for you to belong. It may be through service or learning or in worship. This is what Jesus has in mind in the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper. Jesus has set the Table and is saving your place. With this family that meets to give thanks around the Table, you will find a welcome, a place where you are needed and a place where you fit in.

Here at Calvary Lutheran you can find a ministry in which you are needed. Here you can discover an opportunity to grow in faith. Here you will be among people who are also trying to do their best to follow Jesus.
Come together with us for worship on Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. If you are a late riser or desire a basic service style, come at 11:00. Then we meet in the Fireside Chapel. We are right on the main road north of the island on Highway 51. Jim Tait Real Estate is next door; the Mobile Station is across the street.
We offer a children’s program of learning and growth on Wednesdays – 3:45 to 5:00. We have activities for age 3 through grade 6. For information about Confirmation classes please contact me at the church office. The first Wednesday of every month includes parent for supper and games at 5:00 to 6:00.
