GARDEN NEWS Weeding and harvesting have continued this past month. Our Memorial Garden has produced bundles. Almost $190 worth of produce was purchased from the crops. This money goes to the Food Pantry along with the mountains of cabbage, peas, beans, beets, corn - an average of 130+ pounds of produce a week! The newspapers seem to have helped control some of the weeds. Thank you to all who gave their old newspapers. We do not need anymore, though. Plans for next year’s garden include a space for flowers for Sanctuary flowers. |

LADIES! YOU ARE INVITED! Ladies’ Bible Study is held every third Monday of the month at 1:00 pm. The bible study materials come from the magazine, Lutheran Woman Today. This September is the start of a new series. We begin the study with how we read the Bible. Then the next eight months are spent on subjects that can make community or break it. We examine ideas like the body of Christ, evangelism and stewardship, spiritual gifts, race and culture, loving relationships in the context of the community of the church, difficulties that keep us from experiencing the wholeness of resurrection life, and what is at the heart of Lutheran worship. If you are interested and would like to start this year, contact Pastor. |
