THE PERSONAL PROTECTION ACT The Personal Protection Act, which allows individuals with a state-granted license to carry a concealed weapon, was signed into Wisconsin law in July and becomes effective November 1, 2011. The Calvary Lutheran Church Council has adopted a policy that prohibits the carrying of concealed weapons on the church property. Please contact the office if you would like additional information. SOUPER BOWL SUNDAY In the month of January, CLAC collected cans of soup for the Lakeland Pantry in expectation of Souper Bowl Sunday. Remember, The youth of Calvary will be “passing the soup pot” for your monetary donations on Sunday February 5th. (Checks can be made payable to Calvary CAMPGROUND SERVICE Sunday, February 12, is the day of our annual indoor campground worship service. At both 9:00 and 11:00, we will sing and worship in the format used in the summer at Indian Shores and Clear Lake. FAT TUESDAY POTLUCK AND ENTERTAINMENT Tuesday, February 21 is Fat Tuesday. Calvary will hold its annual Potluck on this day beginning at 5:00 pm. For entertainment, Don Penfield will be tickling the ivories, demonstrating his versatility of style, from honky tonk to pop tunes to classical; he plays it all for the joy of it. The evening will end with our theme song, “When the Saints Go Marching In”. There is a sheet on the kiosk so you can let us know what delicious “fattening” dish you will be bringing.
